TeraSilIC is the controller of the personal data described in this policy.

What we collect

Information you give us. When you use a contact form, we collect your name, company name, email address and the content of your message. When you subscribe to our newsletter, we collect your email address.

Information collected automatically. When you browse the site, we and our service providers collect technical data about your visit through cookies and similar technologies. This includes:

• your IP address

• browser and device type

• the pages you view

• how you arrived at the site

• the approximate time you spent on it

We do not ask for, and do not want to receive, sensitive personal data through this website.

How we use it

We use your personal data to:

• answer your enquiry and follow up on business discussions you have started with us;

• send you our newsletter, if you have subscribed;

• understand how the website is used so we can improve it;

• protect the website and its forms from spam and abuse;

• meet our legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal data. We do not use it for automated decision-making that has legal or similarly significant effects on you.

Why we are allowed to use it

We handle your data under Taiwan's Personal Data Protection Act. In plain terms:

• we answer enquiries because you asked us to;

Who we share it with

We use the following service providers to run the website. They process data on our behalf and only for the purposes above:

• Hostinger: website hosting, storage of form submissions, and website usage statistics (including through Amplitude), only with your consent.

• EmailOctopus: newsletter sign-up and delivery.

• Google (Google Analytics 4): website usage statistics, only with your consent.

• Google (reCAPTCHA): spam protection on our forms.

• Google Fonts, Pexels and Unsplash: delivery of fonts and images shown on the site. When your browser loads them, these providers receive your IP address.

We may also disclose personal data where the law requires it, or to protect our rights.

International transfers

Our service providers may process data outside Taiwan, including in the European Union and the United States. They protect it under their own data-protection terms.

Cookies

The site uses cookies that are necessary for it to work. Analytics cookies are set only if you accept them in the cookie banner. Until you choose, Google Analytics receives only a basic signal without cookies. You can change your choice at any time by clearing cookies for this site in your browser. The banner will then appear again on your next visit.

How long we keep it

• Enquiries: we keep them for as long as needed to handle your request and any business relationship that follows, then for 24 months after our last contact.

• Newsletter data: kept until you unsubscribe.

• Analytics data: kept for 2 months, the Google Analytics default retention period.

• ask for a copy of your personal data;

• correct it or delete it;

• restrict or object to how we use it;

• receive it in a portable format;

• withdraw consent at any time.

Under Taiwan's Personal Data Protection Act, you may request to review, copy, supplement, correct or delete your data, and to stop its collection, processing or use.

Children

This website is intended for business audiences. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.
